1 to 5 to 1, was derived from a concentration practice in which one their ability by counting an ascending and descending number sequence in conjunction with their breath. Reconstructed as a visual piece, a looped number sequence played without alteration along with the track Be Comfortable Creature. Viewers approached the piece via a 600 foot hallway in a mausoleum. The hall was lit with pools of light projected down from the skylights , and the sound, while inaudible at first, became louder and clear as the viewer closed in on the numbers.
